With a father who is well respected in the magic world, Scott was bound to become a magician and by the time he was six he was already performing in front of appreciative audiences. Scott's success in the Young Magician of the Year helped him to become a member of The Magic Circle. He has subsequently been promoted to member of the Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star.

In 1992 he was awarded the title British Magical Champion of General Magic. Then in 1997 he won the Dittia Challenge Shield at the International Brotherhood of Magicians annual convention. In 2000, The Magic Circle honoured Scott with the title of Stage Magician of the Year and in 2009 he became Vice President of The Magic Circle. In 2014 Scott was very proud to become President of The Magic Circle.

His skills have not just taken him to prestigious venues in the UK such as the London Palladium but also Scott works as a much sought after magic and special effects advisor for television, film and theatres around the world.

Steve Short has been a full time professional magician for more than thirty years. His interest started when his parents bought him a magic book for his eleventh birthday.

Steve was also greatly influenced by the television entertainer of the day magician David Nixon. Many years later Steve and magic historian Eddie Dawes collaborated to produce the autobiography of David Nixon. The book was well received by magicians and the general public and they were both awarded The Magic Circle Maskelyne award for literature.

During his career Steve has entertained on television and also is one of the few magicians to present magic on the radio. He also travels the world entertaining on luxury cruise ships and tours the country bringing his own very special mix of magic and comedy to themed parties, weddings, corporate events and other fun get-togethers.

Steve is very proud to be an Associate Member of the Inner Magic Circle with Silver Star.
